Los Angeles - MyToons.com, an online animation community featuring contributions from pro and amateur creators, announced on Tuesday that it has raised an undisclosed sum in its second round of funding, led by Syncom Venture Partners and Barshop Ventures.

San Antonio, Texas-based MyToons.com was founded in 2006 as an entertainment site for pro animators, students, artists and animation fans.

The site currently showcases a range of independent and studio animation from more than 10,000 contributing members.

The new capital will be used to support continued technology infrastructure development and revenue growth, as well as expanded global partnerships.
