Revenue at New York Times Co. Drops 10%; Internet Revenue Up

New York - The New York Times Co. (NYSE: NYT) announced on Wednesday that in June its total company revenues from operations decreased 10% compared with the same month a year ago.

Advertising revenues decreased 16.4% and circulation revenues increased 2.1%.

At the same time, total Internet revenues grew 11.7% and Internet advertising revenues increased 18.6% in June.

The company's Internet businesses include NYTimes.com, About.com, Boston.com and other websites.

In total, Internet businesses accounted for 13.4% of total revenues in June versus 10.8% in June 2007.
