Los Angeles - Web publishing start-up CrowdFusion has raised $3 million in
its first round of venture capital financing, led by Velocity Interactive
Group, Greycroft Partners and Marc Andreessen, PaidContent reported.
CrowdFusion
was founded by Brian Alvey, creator of the Weblogs Inc. publishing network that
was sold to AOL.
The company is expected to launch a range of vertical content
sites based on its Web publishing platform sometime in the fall.
