Burlingame, Calif. - BitGravity, a content delivery network optimized for video and rich media, announced on Tuesday that it has raised a $2.5 million seed round of funding, from Allen & Company and individual investors including Sling Media co-founder Blake Krikorian.

Burlingame, Calif.-based BitGravity -- which to this point has been privately funded -- provides content delivery network services for live and HD video content.

Sling Media's Blake Krikorian, whose company uses BitGravity's services, will also take a seat on the company's board.
