News Aggregation Service SkyGrid Lands $11 Million

New York - SkyGrid, an online news search and aggregation service aimed at Wall Street professionals, said on Wednesday that it has closed an $11 million second round of funding, led by RRE Ventures.

BlackRock also participated, along with previous investors Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Esther Dyson.

Founded in 2005 and launched in February, Silicon Valley-based SkyGrid offers a news aggregation and filtering service to over 100 clients, including traders, hedge fund and portfolio managers and research analysts.

The service covers millions of blogs and enthusiast websites, thousands of local and regional newspapers, press releases, product review sites and other outlets.
