Wi-Fi Camera Card Maker Eye-Fi Secures $11 Million

Mountain View, Calif. - Eye-Fi, a developer of Wi-Fi-enableld memory cards that allow digital cameras to automatically send photos to online, in-home and retail destinations, announced on Wednesday that it has secured $11 million in its second round of funding.

TransLink Capital led the investment round; new investor LMS Capital, and previous backers Opus Capital and Shasta Ventures also participated.

Founded in 2005, Mountain View, Calif.-based Eye-Fi released its Eye-Fi Card in October 2007.

The company has since formed partnerships with Nikon, Lexar and over 20 online photo destinations.

Eye-Fi will use the investment to fund further product development, expand distribution into new markets, and scale its organization.
