Lanham, Md. - Radio One, a radio broadcasting company primarily targeting African-American listeners, said on Thursday that its digital division has launched three new websites, creating what the company termed "the largest online media entity for African-Americans."

The New York-based division, known as Interactive One, unveiled NewsOne, TheUrbanDaily and HelloBeautiful.

The three sites, along with social networking site BlackPlanet, acquired by Radio One earlier this year, initially are expected to reach more than 6 million unique monthly visitors.

NewsOne.com provides coverage of newsworthy events relevant to African-Americans, TheUrbanDaily.com offers relevant entertainment news and gossip and HelloBeautiful.com, currently in beta, will focus on African-American women with fashion, beauty, entertainment and relationship content.

Alfred Liggins III, the CEO of Radio One, called the sites "a critical and growing part of our media platform that reaches over 20 million African-Americans every month across radio, TV, print and online."
