Menlo Park,
Calif. - Nokeena Networks, a
developer of storage and distribution technology for high-quality video, has
raised $8.7 million in its first round of venture capital financing, led by
Clearstone Venture Partners and Trinity Ventures, TheDeal.com reported.
San
Francisco-based Nokeena is expected to launch its first commercial product next
year.
The company's processing and network optimization technology will be
targeted at content delivery networks, video sites and other media companies.
