Boulder, Colo. - Lijit Networks, a provider of search-powered applications for online publishers, announced on Tuesday that it has closed a $7.1 million third round of financing, led by Foundry Group.

Previous backers Boulder Ventures and Colorado Fund I also participated in the round, proceeds from which will be used to launch the company's search-powered ad network, open additional offices and hire staff.

Founded in 2006, Colorado-based Lijit provides search widgets and other applications that help publishers to increase page views and reader engagement, as well as ad revenue.
