Hollywood, Calif. - Major record label EMI's Capitol Records and USA Today publisher Gannett (NYSE: GCI) announced on Tuesday that they have partnered on a digital pre-release promotion for Beach Boy Brian Wilson's forthcoming album, "That Lucky Old Sun."

The promotion will see over 50 Gannett newspaper and TV station websites, including USAToday.com, exclusively offer a full stream of the album starting on Friday and continuing through the day before its release on Sept. 2.

The promotion is the first of its kind for Gannett, but similar promotional collaborations have previously been hatched between record labels and newspapers in the U.K.
