San Francisco
- As users await Apple's (NASD: AAPL) own promised implementation of copy-and-paste
functionality on the iPhone, independent developer Zac White has introduced
OpenClip, a standard that can be used by iPhone application developers to
enable copy-and-paste between their various applications, CNET News.com
reported. The standard -- which does not allow copy-and-paste between e-mail
and Safari -- is expected to soon be supported by iPhone applications including
MagicPad, Twittelator, American Heritage Dictionary and Roget's Thesaurus.
