Beijing - NBC and Yahoo are both claiming to be the top Web destinations for the Olympics, with NBC citing a mix of internal, Nielsen and Hitwise data, and Yahoo looking to comScore to claim the top spot, PaidContent reported.

NBC reports that NBCOlympics.com drew nearly 42 million unique users in the first 12 days of the games, who initiated more than 56 million video streams and looked at over 1 billion Web pages.

Meanwhile, Yahoo cited comScore data that showed it beat NBC's site by 1.3 million unique users during the week ending Aug. 10, and attracted 19.4 million unique users for the week ending Aug. 17, compared to NBC's 14.2 million.

NBC says its WAP and wireless video-on-demand have drawn nearly 6 million visits and 25 million page views so far; while Yahoo doesn't cite a total figure, it said its Olympics-related WAP sites have seen a 158% increase in traffic from July.
