Frankfurt, Germany - German wireless carrier T-Mobile said
it has sold over 120,000 Apple iPhone 3G units across Germany, Austria
and the Netherlands
since it began offering the device on July 11, Reuters reported, citing the
German magazine Focus.
"Our (sales) expectations were surpassed,"
T-Mobile CEO Hamid Akhavan told Focus.
Akhavan also confirmed that early delivery
problems that had customers waiting weeks for an iPhone would be remedied by
the end of the month.
He further stated that T-Mobile had received complaints on 3G
connectivity with the iPhone 3G in the Netherlands,
but not in Germany or Austria.
