Los Angeles - Regent Media, the owner of gay-focused cable network here! Networks, announced that it has completed its acquisition of gay media firm PlanetOut's (NASD: LGBT) publishing properties, including Out and The Advocate magazines.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The deal also included PlanetOut's The Out Traveler, HIV Plus, Gaywired Media and Alyson Books.

As part of a re-launch of advocate.com, which will now be home to more of the magazine's content as it moves from a biweekly to monthly circulation, the site is covering the Democratic National Convention this week.
