New York - Lifetime Networks, the women's TV network joint venture between Hearst Corporation (NYSE: HTV) and Disney (NYSE: DIS), on Wednesday announced its first-ever digital acquisition with the purchase of ParentsClick Network, a provider of social network creation tools.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

San Francisco-based ParentsClick Network offers tools for parents to create their own social networks and blogs, aggregating and promoting content in a Digg-like style.

Lifetime said ParentsClick's technology assets will support its expanding digital initiatives, accelerating the development of vertical communities on its MyLifetime.com, LMN.tv and DressUpChallenge.com sites.
