Washington - Following a Congressional inquiry into privacy concerns with behavioral advertising, NebuAd has postponed its plans to more widely deploy technology with Internet service providers that would monitor users' Web surfing for the purpose of targeting them with advertisements, the Washington Post reported.

The House Energy ad Commerce Committee hearing on behavioral ads this summer led at least seven firms to suspend or cancel deployments of NebuAd's technology.

"With the Internet service provider channel currently on hold with the events of the summer, we have broadened the focus of our business but continue to enhance our technologies for that ISP channel," NebuAd spokeswoman Janet McGraw told the Post.

The founder and CEO of NebuAd, Bob Dykes, announced his resignation from the company this week.
