Dearborn, Mich. - Esquire Magazine this week launched the first-ever mass distribution of electronic ink technology, placing an E Ink electronic display on the cover of its 75th anniversary issue, along with an ad for the 2009 Ford Flex. Esquire is distributing 100,000 issues with the special display -- whose battery is expected to last six months -- at Borders, Barnes & Noble and select newsstands. The same E Ink electronic display is used in Amazon's Kindle e-book reader device.
