London - Sony Ericsson plans to challenge Nokia (NYSE: NOK) with its own unlimited mobile song download service set to launch later this month, the Financial Times reports.

Nokia recently announced plans to launch its "Comes With Music" service in the U.K. next month, which will give purchasers of supported handsets unlimited song downloads from the Nokia Music Store for a year.

FT reported that Sony Ericsson is currently in talks with the major labels, and hopes to announce the service this month, with an eye towards launching in Europe before the holidays.
