Seattle - Big Fish Games, a provider of online games and interactive entertainment, announced on Friday that it has landed a new $83.3 million round of funding, from General Catalyst Partners, Balderton Capital and Salmon River Capital.

Seattle-based Big Fish Games works with more than 500 game developers and distributes over 1 million games per day to consumers.

Some of its game franchises include Mystery Case Files, Hidden Expedition, Azada and Fairway Solitaire.

The company will use the funds to accelerate its global expansion.
