London - Zemanta, a provider of multimedia tools for bloggers, has raised $650,000 in seed funding from Union Square Ventures, TechCrunch reported.

The company has now raised a total of $2.2 million, from investors that also included Eden Ventures and The Accelerator Group.

Slovenia-based Zemanta, which is headquartered in London, offers a free plug-in that let bloggers across ten platforms add images and other non-copyrighted content.

The company was one of the six winners of Seedcamp 2007, a competition for start-ups where they compete for European venture capital funding.
