New York - Time Inc.'s (NYSE: TWX) Maghound Enterprises on Tuesday announced the beta launch of Maghound, an online magazine subscription service that lets users pay a single monthly fee for access to a range of magazine titles.

Similar to the Netflix model, members may subscribe to three magazine titles a month for $4.95, five titles for $7.95, seven titles for $9.95, and $1 per title for eight titles or more.

In addition to Time Inc. titles like TIME, People and Sports Illustrated, Maghound at launch offers 240 titles, including Men's Health, ELLE, maxim, Popular Science and PC Magazine.

Notably absent were Hearst's titles, such as Esquire.

Maghound said it will pay publishers a fixed fee for every copy of each title that is sold; the service eventually plans to add digital content.
