Hollywood - Hollywood Interactive Group, a developer of entertainment content sites that include women's casual gaming site MyHollywood.com, said on Thursday that it has raised a $5 million first round of funding, led by BlueRun Ventures.

MyHollywood.com's multiplayer "Red Carpet Game," currently in beta, integrates real-world celebrity and entertainment news into a casual game.

The company says it will generate revenue through virtual item and premium package sales; pre-paid cards; product placement and advertising.
