New York - The first mobile phone to utilize Google's (NASD: GOOG) new Android operating system software, HTC's Dream, will cost $199 when it goes on sale later this month, The Wall Street Journal reports.

The price set by T-Mobile USA is the same as what Apple (NASD: AAPL) and AT&T (NYSE: T) are charging for the iPhone 3G.

The Journal added that T-Mobile plans to offer "aggressively priced" data and calling plans for the handset.
