- PepsiCo (NYSE: PEP) plans to offer a $1 million prize to the prospective creator of a
Doritos ad for the Super Bowl that beats all of the other ads in USA Today's
Super Bowl ad rankings, The Wall Street Journal reports. PepsiCo ran a similar user-generated
Doritos ad contest for the Super Bowl two years ago, which generated a reported
$36 million in free publicity. The Journal noted that Anheuser-Busch has won
the USA Today Super Bowl ad poll every year for the past ten years.
