Los Angeles - News Corp.'s (NYSE: NWS) MySpace online social network on Wednesday announced a partnership with online payment processor PayPal (NASD: EBAY), and the launch of a new fundraising widget that users can post to their MySpace profiles to collect donations from friends and family for non-profit organizations.

"Currently more than 100,000 non-profit organizations use PayPal, with more than 200 added to our system daily," said Judy Chang, principal product manager at PayPal.

"The MySpace IMPACT / PayPal fundraising widget makes it even easier for charities and people to connect, spread awareness of important causes and raise the money they need to make a difference."

The companies said that celebrities including the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus and Hilary Duff are using the fundraising widget, as is Variety's "Power of Youth" contest.

PayPal and MySpace also announced a contest that will feature weekly prizes, as well as two tickets to the Grammys for the top individual fundraiser, and $20,000 in cash for non-profits.
