- Independent music digital distributor IODA laid off about 15% of its staff
last month, CNET News.com reported, citing a source affiliated with the company.
"There was some belt tightening while the company concentrates on reaching
profitability next year," company spokeswoman Heather Staples told CNET,
adding that the company now counts 75 employees.
Founded in 2003, San
Francisco-based IODA provides distribution for independent record labels to
digital services like iTunes and Amazon MP3.
