New York - Giga Omni Media, the blog publisher whose network
includes GigaOm and NewTeeVee, has raised $4.5 million in a new round of
funding led by Alloy Ventures, according to a blog post from founder Om Malik.
Previous
investor True Ventures, and angel investors Rakesh Mathur, Venky Harinarayan
and Anand Rajaraman also participated.
The two-year-old company said it will
use the funds to enhance its technology platform and content offerings, add to
its current portfolio of publications and expand its events and briefings
businesses.
