New York - Oberon Media, a multi-platform distributor of casual video games, announced on Monday that it has received a $20 million investment from the Infinity I-China Fund, as part of an agreement whereby the two will expand the casual game publishing and distribution business and establish new partnerships in China.

New York-based Oberon both publishes casual games, and offers platforms with management, aggregation, billing and advertising tools.

Partners include Microsoft, Comcast, Verizon, Electronic Arts, MySpace, France Telecom and NHN.

"We have identified the gaming field as a strategic cluster for investments," said Infinity I-China Fund managing partner Amir Gal-Or.

"China, which has a strong and rapidly growing local gaming market with more than $2B in annual sales and 50 million users, is building a reputation as an emerging site for game development studios."
