Seattle - Online photography licensing service Getty Images has launched a new online music licensing service that will offer tracks to producers and advertisers for use in their productions, Billboard reports. The Premium Playlist service at launch includes over 1,000 songs, from artists including Norah Jones and Barenaked Ladies, via deals with Warner/Chappell, Koch, Cherry Lane, Kobalt, Red Light Management, Lionsgate and Nettwerk. Getty Images acquired Web-based music licensor Pump Audio for $42 million last June, and introduced a service based on Pump's called Soundtrack last October that now offers 100,000 independent label tracks.
