Santa Monica, Calif. - DECA, a digital entertainment company that bills itself as bridging the gap between Hollywood, Madison Avenue and Silicon Valley, announced on Tuesday that it has invested an undisclosed sum in Smosh, the operators of a comedy site and teen-oriented YouTube channel that claims over 555,000 subscribers.

DECA will also become the exclusive business and production partner for Smosh, whose videos are attracting over 9 million streams monthly and average over 25,000 comments.

"Anthony [Padilla] and Ian [Hecox] of SMOSH have become online stars with clean, funny content that attracts an enormous mainstream audience of teenagers and young adults," said Michael Wayne, CEO and co-founder of DECA.

"With DECA's infrastructure and backing, Anthony and Ian will continue to develop high-quality online entertainment for their audience and SMOSH will grow into the premier teen brand on the Internet."

Other DECA-produced Web content includes Boing Boing TV, Dog & Pony and BushLeague.TV.
