YouTube, PBS Ask Users to "Video Your Vote" at the PollsAuthored by Mark Hefflinger on October 15, 2008 - 12:29pm.
San Bruno, Calif. - Google's (NASD: GOOG) YouTube and PBS on Wednesday launched "Video Your Vote," a project that asks users to document their voting experience on Election Day. "We're looking for for perspectives from polling places across the country that chronicle the excitement and energy at the polls, as well as any problems that may arise -- like long lines or broken voting machines -- that could prevent citizens from exercising their right to vote," YouTube head of news & politics Steve Grove wrote in a blog post. Some of the videos taken will be featured on PBS' "NewsHour with Jim Lehrer."
