- Ratings and research firm Nielsen is shuttering its research-focused online
social network, "Hey! Nielsen," Mediapost reported. The service
currently counts more than 175,000 members, who have given their personal
information and were asked to rate TV shows and commercials, as well as movies
and popular music. Nielsen launched the service in beta in 2007, and it became
a commercialized research service in January to coincide with Super Bowl XLII.
