Sherman Oaks, Calif. - AudioMicro.com, the operator of a "crowd-sourced" marketplace for commercial music licensing, announced on Wednesday that it has raised an undisclosed amount of first round financing, led by DFJ Frontier.

Sherman Oaks, Calif.-based AudioMicro lets musicians and sound designers upload their stock music, sound effect, audio cue and production element creations.

The company then sells these audio assets to clients seeking music and sound effects for films, advertising and digital media productions. Prices start at $1 per minute of music or audio; the company also offers a subscription service.

AudioMicro will use the funds as working capital, and to enhance its online marketplace and attract new content.
