Rome - Neomobile, an Italy-based mobile entertainment distributor, announced on Thursday that it has acquired Arena Mobile, a Spain-based mobile content provider.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The combined company will become the Neomobile Group.

Founded in 2004, Neomobile has since expanded beyond Italy to establish operations in Turkey, Spain and Brazil. Last year, it served downloads to over 2.5 million unique users.
