Martini Gets Funding for Affluent-Focused Online Ad Network

San Francisco - Martini Media Network, an online ad network that targets affluent consumers, has raised an undisclosed amount of first round funding from Venrock, VentureWire reported.

San Francisco-based Martini has established a network of over 70 publishers, which reaches affluent individuals through their leisure pursuits -- such as sailing, equestrian sports, private aviation, wine, golf, classic cars and cigars.

The company's flagship MartiniLife.com site features content from its publishing partners and other sites.

Martini also this week named Skip Brand as CEO; Brand previously held senior sales and business development positions at Yahoo, Cox and Excite@Home.
