Los Gatos, Calif. - Online DVD rental service Netflix (NASD: NFLX) said on Monday that it has deployed its second-generation media player for instant streaming of movies and TV episodes, which will utilize Microsoft's (NASD: MSFT) Silverlight video delivery platform. The deployment will initially be rolled out to a small percentage of new Netflix subscribers, but is expected to reach all subscribers by year's end.
