Bleacher Report Gets $3.5M for User-Generated Sports Writing

San Francisco - Bleacher Report, a site that lets sports fans post their own sports-related news and commentary, has raised $3.5 million in second round funding, TechCrunch reported.

Investors included Hillsven Capital, Gordon Crawford, SoftTech VC and Vimeo founder Jacob Lodwick.

San Francisco-based Bleacher Report counts over 2 million unique monthly visitors to its site, which offers over 400 articles daily from a stable of around 7,500 writers.

The company's content is now syndicated by media partners including CBS Sports and Fox Sports.
