Los Angeles - China's State Administration of Radio Film and Television (SARFT) banned ten video sites this week and doled out warnings to another 17, but none of the actions appear to be related to piracy, TorrentFreak reports.

The reasons related to more nebulous violations of regulations, such as lack of proper authorization, or offering violent or pornographic content.

TorrentFreak noted that one of the sites that received a warning, VeryCD, is China's largest eDonkey file-sharing tracker site, and added that the site still offers links to a large selection of movie, music, games and software files.

The ten sites banned in China included tvsou.com, tsxz.com, 3gdd.cn, Nanjing5.com, feesee.com, puppet.35ci.com and OurDVD, Variety reported.
