Los Angeles - Electronic Arts (NASD: ERTS)
is courting four Hollywood movie studios all
bidding on the big screen rights to an as-yet-unannounced new title from the
video game publisher, Variety reports.
Universal, Paramount, New Regency and MGM are the reported
remaining suitors, after Warner Bros. backed out of the bidding yesterday.
The
game in question is said to be called "Dante's Inferno," and based on
the epic poem centered on hell.
Electronic Arts also recently sold the movie
rights to its "Army of Two" and "Mass Effect" franchises.
