Los Angeles - Video game publisher Brash Entertainment has laid off 20 of its employees and is in talks to possibly return licenses to movie studios it had acquired to produce movie-based games, Variety reports.

The company announced that it has raised $400 million in private equity funding, but was reportedly not able to access all of those funds and is now seeking additional financing, and possibly even a buyer for the company.

Brash confirmed for Variety that at least two titles in production will still be released -- "Saw" and "Six Flags Fun Park" -- while the fate of others, such as "Superman," "300" and "Clash of the Titans," remains unclear.
