New York - Mobile advertising services firm MoJiva announced that it has raised an undisclosed amount of first round funding from Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments (BDMI), the venture capital arm of German media conglomerate Bertelsmann.

The company also named former Phorm and DoubleClick executive David Gwozdz as its CEO.

Founded in May, New York-based MoJiva offers a self-service mobile ad delivery toolkit that advertisers can use to create and manage mobile campaigns.

The company, which said it recently surpassed half a billion total ads served, will use the funds for new product development, and expansion of its sales and marketing staff.
