Nettwerk, Universal, Indaba Team on Crowdsourced Remixes

Authored by Mark Hefflinger on November 18, 2008 - 1:01pm.

New York - Canadian record label and management firm Nettwerk Music Group on Tuesday announced a deal with Universal Music Canada and Indaba to produce a "crowdsourced" companion remix album for hip-hop artist K-OS. Master stems from the 11 tracks on K-OS's forthcoming album "YES!" have been made available via Indaba, a provider of Web music collaboration and community tools. Musicians can download and remix the tracks, and in February K-OS will select the best submissions, with the winners each receiving $1,000 and a spot for their track on Universal's companion remix album.
