FanSnap Gets $5.5 Million for Ticket Search Engine

Palo Alto, Calif. - FanSnap, a live event ticket search engine firm founded by former StubHub chief marketing officer Mike Janes, announced on Tuesday that it has raised $5.5 million in its second round of financing, led by General Catalyst Partners.

Palo Alto, Calif.-based FanSnap's search engine, which launched in beta in September, displays ticket-level results from 56 ticketing providers.

The company will use the funds to complete development of its search engine and hire additional staff.
