- Entertainment trade publication The Hollywood Reporter, owned by the Nielsen
Company, has laid off more than a dozen employees, the majority of whom were
part of the company's editorial staff, Variety reported.
The cuts included
managing editor Harley Lond, chief TV critic Barry Garron, film and technology
write Carolyn Giardina, and a number of copy editors and production staff.
Sources
inside the publication told Variety the layoffs are part of a larger workforce
reduction at Nielsen.
