London - Vizimo, a developer of video content personalization and discovery technology for TV, the Web and mobile, announced on Friday that it has acquired TIOTI ("Tape It Off The Internet"), an online video guide, for an undisclosed sum.

TIOTI launched in early 2007, offering an online guide where users can search for TV shows, and receive links to stream or download them from various sources, including the BitTorrent file-sharing network.

Vizimo said it will use TIOTI's service to showcase its own content recommendation and ad network, which utilizes collaborative filtering and semantic analysis.
