Shanghai - World Sports Network, a consumer sports website in China, said this week that it has raised an undisclosed sum in its first institutional round of venture funding from Valhalla Investments.

Shanghai-based WSN provides both English and Chinese versions of its site, which covers international football (soccer) leagues.

The company, which said it now serves "millions" of page views each month, will use the funds to further develop its sports content and initiate coverage of additional sports leagues, such as the NBA.
