Brooklyn, N.Y. - Outside.in, a personalized, hyperlocal news and conversation site, announced on Monday that it has raised an undisclosed sum of new funding, from existing venture and angel investors including Union Square Ventures, the New York City Investment Fund and Betaworks.

Founded in 2007, New York-based Outside.in said its unique users have grown more than 400% from January to November.

The company's online tools are used on online newspaper sites for the Boston Herald and Sacramento Bee, as well as by blog networks like Metblogs.com.

Outside.in previously raised $3 million in venture capital back in May.
