Redmond, Wash. - Nintendo of America announced on Wednesday that it has settled its patent and trademark infringement lawsuit against accessories maker Nyko Technologies, over the company's "Nunchuk" controller for the Wii console.

While financial terms of the settlement were not disclosed, Nyko will continue to sell a "redesigned" version of its similar "Kama" wireless controller.

"We are pleased to have resolved this dispute," said Nintendo of America president and COO Reggie Fils-Aime. "The Nunchuk and Wii brands are familiar to consumers worldwide, and Nintendo is dedicated to vigorous defense of those brands."

"Nyko Technologies is proud to be an industry leader in gaming accessories, and we will continue to develop exciting products for the benefit of the gaming community," said Nyko CEO Herschel Naghi.

Nintendo's eternal lawsuits

That's quite positive that the conflict between those two companies is settled at last. Lawsuits are not very strange when we speak about Nintendo. For me there is still one question, who lost the case started by Hillcrest Labs against Nintendo?
