Broadbus, Comcast Vets Launch Communications Industry VC Firm

Waltham, Mass. - Three telecom industry executives have launched a new communications industry investment firm called Genovation Capital, based in Waltham, Mass., which will focus on early-stage businesses.

The firm's founders are Jeffrey Binder, Vin Bisceglia, and David Fellows.

Binder founded Broadbus Technologies, which was acquired by Motorola in 2007 for about $200 million.

Bisceglia is the former chairman and CEO of Broadbus, and Fellows most recently served as CTO of Comcast.

Genovation plans to pursue seed financing deals in the $100,000 to $1 million range, and early-stage venture capital deals in the $1 million to $10 million range.
