RipCode Gets $12.5 Million for Video Delivery Technology

Dallas - RipCode, a provider of Internet and mobile video infrastructure solutions, announced on Tuesday that it has raised over $12.5 million in a new financing round led by Granite Ventures.

Previous backers Hunt Ventures, El Dorado Ventures, Vesbridge Partners and ATA Ventures also participated.

Dallas-based RipCode offers on-demand and real-time stream transcoding technology to clients including MySpace, which utilizes RipCode for its MySpace Mobile service.

The company said it will use the funds to expand sales, marketing and product development efforts.
